    Required Qualifications

    • Active Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C) through the Washington State Department of Health 
    • Positive attitude 
    • Self-motivated 
    • 2+ years experience in a clinical setting 
    • Previous podiatry or orthopedic experience preferred
    • Basic Life Support or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)
    • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing to document/record information
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well and communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and staff
    • Able to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of a changing scheduling environment and accommodate the needs of the practice

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Phlebotomy certification 
    • X-ray technician certification 
    • Experience using ModMed EMR

    • Work with teammates to ensure the best patient care and experience
    • Scribe
    • Conduct patient intake, orders and procedure prep
    • Obtaining and documenting patient medical and medication history
    • Assist with exams, procedures and treatments (i.e., applying casts, removing sutures)
    • Ensure all required paperwork is completed by patients prior to treatment
    • Obtain insurance authorizations when necessary
    • Organize and prepare surgery packets.   
    • Surgery Scheduling
    • Coordinate pre and post operative appointments
    • Dispense DME
    • Sterilize surgical tools and equipment
    • Gather and manage necessary documents (i.e., medical record, test results)
    • Respond to patient phone calls, including pre and post operative surgical patients and medication refills
    • Adherent to HIPAA regulations
    • Complete FMLA, L&I and patient work related forms
    • Coordinate patient care information with other health care providers
    • Prepare, maintain clean, organized exam and procedure rooms
    • Ensure availability of supplies and proper operation of equipment in the exam and procedure rooms
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment    
    • Other duties as assigned.

Medical Billing Specialist

    We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for charge and payment posting, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient billing records. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical billing practices and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.


    • Generate and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
    • Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any issues or discrepancies
    • Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
    • Maintain patient billing records and update information as necessary
    • Adhere to all relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines
    • Manage accounts receivables
    • Research and resolve insurance claims
    • Interpret EOB and post payments
    • Charge Posting
    • Perform patient collections activities, including calls on past due accounts
    • Provide exceptional billing customer service

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
    • In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10) and procedures
    • Familiarity with medical office operations and billing processes
    • Proficient in using electronic health record systems and billing software
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

    Rainier Foot and Ankle Associates serve patients throughout Enumclaw and the Greater Seattle area. The motivation of our practice is to provide excellent service to the people we serve.


    The Patient Care Coordinator position requires excellent customer service skills, good judgment and discretion, attention to detail, a pleasant and professional demeanor and excellent communication.


    This position is responsible for all aspects of administrative duties assigned by the clinic. Duties include but are not limited to—Interacting with patients, answering phones and directing calls, scheduling, registration, data entry, performing insurance and benefit verification, assisting in the management of accounts receivable, records management and operating basic computer and office equipment.


    Minimum Requirements

    • Two + years clerical and/or receptionist experience in a healthcare setting (Required)
    • One year customer service experience (Required)
